Two events for this week.
On Thursday the 13th at 2:45 - 3:15, our class will have the opportunity to shop at the Holiday shop to buy gifts for their families. (Items from $1.00 - $5.00) Students are NOT required to buy anything. If they're worried about losing their money I can lock their envelopes in my closet.
Friday the 14th we will be gone all day to the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts and the Kalamazoo Valley Museum.
In the beginning of the year you all signed permission slips and made lunch choices. If you didn't sign up for a school lunch, you will need to provide a sack lunch for your child. An email was sent home recently with the initials of the kids who are getting school sack lunches.
All parents who are attending as chaperones will also need to have a lunch packed for themselves.
Finally.... I take pictures of the kids throughout the year. At holiday parties, field trips and at special events. If you would like a copy of these pictures, please send me either a rewritable C.D. with your name on it or a jump drive (also with your name on it) so I can download them for you.
Christmas is two weeks! Yikes!

December 7th
Dear Parents,
This
Week’s spelling list will be a holiday list of words…. so everyone will get the
same list. The following week…. December 17th through the 20th
there will be NO spelling list, since we have the Christmas party on Thursday
and then the fun chaos of pajama day on Friday.

December 3rd Update
Art Opportunity
National Art Honor Society members have planned this really
great activity for students K-5 to make gifts for their family while
their parents secretly shop…J.
We currently have low enrollment and would like to encourage you to think about
sending your own children or spread the word to another family that might
have interest. I have attached our flyer and will extend our due date to
Thursday as we will need Friday to shop.
The activity is only $20.00 and your child will come home
with some gifts that you will treasure forever.
What: VHS
students will be hosting a make and take Holiday Craft and Gift making day
where VCS students grades k-5 can come and create art projects for family and
friends.
When: December 8, 2012
Time: 9:00-12:00
